The owners of this late sixteenth-century masseria (a seat of rural nobility in Puglia) are the key to the passion for detail that is evident in every aspect of its restoration and refurbishment. Today they cultivate the 72 hectares of the estate under the rules of organic farming, and their products provide the basis for an excellent cuisine rich in local, often sophisticated, culinary delicacies. Tasteful decor with antique furniture and artefacts distinguish the eight rooms (all with shower / WC) and the common areas; the idyll is perfected by a thriving garden with peacocks, an orange grove and a classic car in the courtyard under blossoming oleanders and tall palm trees, small seating areas, and a small, cosy bar. On this site you will find harmony and tranquillity, and an old-fashioned hospitality. Bicycles for excursions are available. The beach can be reached by car in ten minutes, where the masseria’s deck chairs and umbrellas by the clean, blue sea await guests. The old Statale 16 road leads to Ostuni along a picturesque avenue of pine and cypress trees. |
