Bellavista is situated on one of the highest hills of the valley (some 318 metres above sea level) and offers a magnificent 360-degree view. To the south the Abbey of Farneto can be seen, Monte Amiata to the south-east, Montepulciano in the same direction, Foiano della Chiana is visible to the east, the valley around Arezzo to the north-east, Monte Egidio to the north, and to the north-east a stunning view over Cortona. The owners, who live on site, decided to open their property for guests who want to experience the simple and authentic rhythm of Tuscan country life. There are certainly unforgettable experiences, such as being awakened by birdsong or the crowing of the cock, enjoying a breakfast of authentic foods from the estate’s own production or relaxing with a glass of wine in the garden. There are 3 rooms, each with private bathroom, and areas for the common use of guests and of the family such as the library, the lounge and the dining room (in which breakfast is also served, and where, on request, guests can also order an evening meal of dishes typical of traditional rural cuisine). Casa Bellavista is lovingly decorated with antiques from the family estate dating from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries. The well-kept garden offers extensive outdoor space, whether sunlit or shaded by the dense pine groves. From the southern garden there is a magnificent view over some 80 km, with Monte Amiata on the horizon, and from the northern garden, encircled by fruit trees, there is a superb view over the town of Cortona. In addition there is a swimming pool (6 x 14 m), mountain bikes, bar service, laundry and Internet access. The owners are happy to help with the planning of outings.
